San Jose, CA — Rising Bay Area ensemble Future Dead Ringers will take the stage on June 20th as an opening act for the acclaimed John Santos Sextet at the Levitt Music Festival in San Jose, bringing their distinctive sound to one of the region’s most vibrant community music events.
Blending elements of funk, soul, jazz, and modern improvisation, Future Dead Ringers have been steadily building a reputation across the Bay Area for their dynamic live performances and genre-defying approach. Their appearance at the Levitt Music Festival marks a significant milestone for the group, placing them alongside one of the most respected figures in Afro-Latin jazz.
Adding a unique dimension to the evening, drummer Dave Flores will perform double duty, appearing with both Future Dead Ringers and the John Santos Sextet. His presence in both groups underscores the musical synergy of the event and highlights his versatility as a performer bridging contemporary and traditional styles.
The Levitt Pavilion San Jose Music Series is known for presenting high-quality, free live music that celebrates cultural diversity and community engagement. The June 20 concert promises an electrifying evening of rhythm, collaboration, and cross-genre exploration.
“We’re honored to share the stage with John Santos and be part of a festival that brings music directly to the community,” said Ken Moran, saxophonist for Future Dead Ringers. “This is a huge opportunity for us to connect with new audiences and contribute to a powerful night of live music.”
Future Dead Ringers perform regularly in the South Bay, with biweekly Friday appearances at Cardiff and Cocktails in Campbell and alternating Saturdays at Good Karma Fine Ales & HiFi in downtown San Jose.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.levittsanjose.com.
